Aldi is a pretty great place to shop; mostly good-quality products and exceptionally low prices. They are able to save money by not shelving known name-brand items -- and not employing spare staff...

I love my beloved Aldi. It's the brother of Trader Joe's which is my other love...but I'm not a cheater. I frequent them both for different items that's all. Aldi was once upon a time frowned...

Today as I approached the checkout, there was not a single employee in sight except the man outside cleaning carts. A couple came up behind me and we looked at each other and shrugged in wonder...

Aldi has really improved over the years. When I was in college, it was a "last resort" place to shop, because the food was sub-par. But Aldi has improved it's food, and over the last few years...
