Formed in 1983, Ag Processing, also known as AGP, is a farmer-owned cooperative involved in the procurement, processing, marketing and transportation of grains and grain products. The company is comprised of more than 200 local cooperatives representing in excess of 250,000 farmers throughout the American Midwest, and six regional cooperatives representing farmers throughout the United States and Canada. AGP s mission is to serve local cooperatives and agricultural producers and owners by performing the primary business functions of acquisition, processing, and marketing of agricultural products. The company markets a number of branded products, including AminoPlus, AgGRowth, Protinal and Proagro. AGP maintains its corporate headquarters in Omaha, Neb., and operates soybean processing plants in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska, including a facility in St. Joseph, Mo.
