The USS MS CGN 40 Main Mast Statue in Ocean Springs, MS is a significant memorial dedicated to the men and women who served in the Vietnam War. The memorial features two black granite walls engraved with the names of the 668 Mississippians who lost their lives in the war, as well as laser-etched photographic images of many of the soldiers. Surrounding the memorial are limestone and concrete walls, and the main mast of the USS Mississippi CGN-40 is also displayed on the site.

In addition to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the site also includes the WWII USS Tullibee Memorial, which honors the submarine USS Tullibee SS-284 and its crew members. This memorial tells the story of the Tullibee and pays tribute to the 52 submarines lost during WWII, as well as the 41 for Freedom Boomers and The Submariner. Both memorials serve as important reminders of the sacrifices made by those who served in the military.
