Plantersville Jr High School

Lawhon Elementary School offers education to students in grades kindergarten through three. It provides classes in subjects that include mathematics, English, fine arts, foreign languages, social studies, science, physical education, business, computer science, and visual and performing arts. In addition, the school offers training classes in reading, writing, communication and problem solving skills. The extracurricular activities provided by the school include, art shows, drama, band, storytelling, handbook and music. It also offers a wide range of sports activities that include baseball, cross country, softball, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Founded in 1979, Tupelo Christian Academy offers Christ-centered educational programs to more than 140 students in kindergarten through grade 12. It is a subsidiary of Tupelo Children's Mansion, which provides services to children up to the age of 10. The mansion operates a church and gymnasium. Its thrift store features clothing, furniture, and dining and living room supplies. Tupelo Children's Mansion employs social workers and counselors. The mansion organizes camps and tours. The school is located in Tupelo, Miss.
