Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, established in 1984 and based in Jackson, Miss., treats orthopedic problems and athletic injuries using technology and equipment to provide rehabilitation services for patients. The center offers treatment for shoulder injuries, such as rotator cuff injury, acromioclavicular separation, and shoulder impingement, dislocation and instability. The center treats elbow injuries, such as tennis elbow and golfer's elbow, as well as hand injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome and skier's thumb. Additionally, it offers treatment for hip injuries, such as total hip arthroplasty, and knee injuries, including anterior cruciate ligament tear, dislocation, chondromalacia patella, cartilage defects, bursitis, medial collateral ligament injury and total knee replacement. Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center offers treatment for foot and ankle injuries, such as Achilles tendon and bunions. It also provides treatment for general orthopedic problems, such as fractures, tendonitis and arthritic joints. Additionally, it provides bone density and magnetic resonance imaging tests.
