A white sand long beach between the casinos, a little white lighthouse between two busy stretches of road, and a lot of white sand carted in to replace all that was lost to Katrina a long time...

The Round Island Lighthouse is no longer at Round Island. It was toppled in the 1990s. Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, eliminated any possibility of it being reconstructed there. It now stands here...
