Dr. Johnson was born in Buffalo, NY with Portland, OR as his hometown. Dr. Johnson majored in Biology at Stanford University, before attending Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He specialized in obstetrics and gynecology in Galveston, Texas. He spent one year in solo practice in Corinth before making New Albany his home in 1997. He joined a group practice with Dr. Williams and Dr. Chism but still missed the benefits that a solo practice can offer his patients.After more than 17 years delivering babies in North Mississippi, with over 7,000 births during that time, Dr. Johnson decided to stop his obstetric practice, and continue with his gynecology practice starting in 2014.
