The Hattiesburg Fire Department, established in 1904, is a paid department serving the city of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. With a vision to become the best trained and educated department in the state, they are committed to increasing their fire rating and providing savings for business owners and citizens through their dedicated team of 118 firefighters and eight stations.

Since their inception, the department has grown significantly, now equipped with six engines and two aerial trucks. Their mission includes increasing total manpower, adding registered EMTs to the department, and constructing Fire Station Number 9.
