The Davey Whitney Complex in Lorman, Mississippi, is a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena and physical education center that serves as the home venue for the Alcorn State University Braves men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team. Built in 1975 at a cost of $3.5 million, the complex features much-needed seating capacity, classroom space, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.

Nicknamed the "Scalping Grounds" and later stylized as the "Scalpin' Grounds," the facility was renamed in 1993 in honor of Davey Whitney, who coached the Braves from 1969 to 1989 and again from 1996 to 2003. Whitney's legacy as a coach at Alcorn State University is commemorated by the arena, making him one of the few Division I coaches to have a venue named after him.
