In 1908, the Cleveland State Bank opened for business and was to become a thread in the fabric of Cleveland history. Through the Great Depression, the shortages and inflation of the 1970 s, the bank has been firmly associated with this place and the people who live in the city. In 1971, The Cleveland State Bank moved to its present location, and opened branches in Merigold, Ohio. Cleveland is still as special and forward thinking as it has ever been. There are few towns in the Mississippi Delta with as much going for it as there is here. The bank s role, as a hometown bank, remains the same. I like to go to this bank mostly because you don't have to get out of your car. It's also convenient to get in and out of. Now, of course this is the drive through the I am talking about....
