Church Alive

History

God birthed Church Alive in the mid-1990s in the hearts of Gene and Anne Amason. God showed them a group of multi-cultural people from various economic and ethnic backgrounds gathering together in Magee, Mississippi to passionately worship Him. They also had a vision for healthy relationships within the church and community, as well as reaching out to the world. Today, that vision is becoming a reality! Church Alive is alive and overflowing with people of all ages and backgrounds sharing life with one another, solving problems, healing relationships, experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit, and learning the Word of God. This body meets together weekly, but it doesn't end there. In December 2014, twenty years after Pastors Gene and Anne founded Church Alive, Gene Amason II and his wife, Regina, were set in as Senior Pastors. We are excited about the new direction that Church Alive has been headed in since the transition.

Our Vision is to LOVE, GROW & LEAD: LOVE: In a world full of unworthy sinners like us, God demonstrated His perfect love by sending His Son to bear our sins on the cross. We reciprocate the unconditional love He has shown us by first loving Him, then loving others - just has He did. GROW: Building healthy relationships with other believers is something we're passionate about. As we grow in our relationship with the Lord, we also seek to cultivate strong connections with fellow church members and those outside of our walls in the community. LEAD: Just as individuals have selflessly sown into our lives, we believe it's our job as a body to ensure that others experience the same type of spiritual direction. It's our desire to contribute to the lives of others by leading them into a deeper walk with God. Together, we'll further the Kingdom by stepping out and impacting lives through the ministry of Church Alive.
