MINACT is responsible for providing material, services and personnel to operate Job Corps Centers across the United States. Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program for disadvantaged youth ages 16 through 24. Customers are provided with comprehensive career development services including academic, vocational, social and independent living skills, career readiness training and support services for employment preparation. During its first 21 years, MINACT provided start-up operations for five centers and transitioned 10 other centers.
