Wood Lake Nature Center in Minneapolis, MN is undergoing exciting changes, with plans to replace the main building by mid-2026. During this transition, programs will continue both at Wood Lake and other Richfield locations. The center's walking trails will remain open to visitors throughout the construction phase.

Visitors to Wood Lake can enjoy over two miles of crushed limestone walking trails, a floating boardwalk, and groomed cross-country ski trails when weather permits. Geocaching enthusiasts can explore the 150-acre area, searching for hidden caches using GPS coordinates. Nature lovers of all ages and skill levels can partake in this outdoor treasure hunt.
