Founded in 1858, Winona State University is a comprehensive, regional public university, with more than 8,000 students. It is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, and offers more than 80 undergraduate, preprofessional, licensure and graduate programs. The university has campuses in Winona and Rochester, Minn., offering programs in business, education, liberal arts, nursing and health sciences and engineering. Winona State University provides various facilities, including library, on-campus housing, dining and media center; athletics and sports activities, such as cross country, golf, tennis and baseball; and a range of student services. It also offers outreach and continuing education programs, college for kids, extension programs, travel study options, and camp and conference services.

Beautiful city. Stay for the summer - so many activities to do! Campus has a great layout and lots of student friendly services. Find a good advisor!

Housing sucks as does most of the facilities and professors. Redemption in that there are bars everywhere and in a gorgeous area.

All my kids have gone here. The best school- we love Winona state. Great atmosphere for students and a beautiful city with many things to do.
