University of Minnesota Alumni Association

Founded in 1904, the University of Minnesota Alumni Association is an independent nonprofit association, governed by a volunteer board of directors. It acts as the University of Minnesota's department of alumni relations, and a central staff serves the association and the department. UMAA had more than 55,000 members and over 350,000 living alumni of the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota. The association serves over 15 collegiate societies and more than seven alumni interest groups in over 70 geographical chapter areas. UMAA organizes and promotes several sponsored events throughout the year, including sporting events, on-campus promotions, and trips abroad. The events offer sponsors an opportunity to reach a targeted audience through interactive marketing, product sampling, coupons, literature distribution, product displays, and other promotional tactics.
