As Seen On Esquire TV's Best Bars of America, James Ballentine VFW Post 246 is a Sports Bar and Restaurant located by Lake Street and South Lyndale in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. The Uptown VFW offers a 70-seat patio, live music bar, event venue, table restaurant seating, karaoke bar, comedy shows, DJs, dart leagues, private parties, free parking out back, a great American inspired food menu, Event rental space and so much more! Our menu offers hearty breakfasts, delicious brunch and lunch options, and filling dinner options for a very affordable price. Our Bar has cold beer available on tap and in bottles, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks, cocktails, and hot coffee. Ask about our drink specials!
