History

Following a life-changing journey through the Andes Mountains and fueled by a life-long passion for the outdoors, Robert and Nicole Stai opened The Gear ReSource Outfitters as a store focused on getting everyone equipped to be able to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Of course, with a new, used and consignment gear store on site, it doesn't hurt that you can get outdoors in the right gear for less.

Specialties

As the South Metro's premier provider of outdoor fun, we are here to instill a sense of adventure in folks from all across the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Whatever the season, there is always fun to be had in our beautiful backyard. From June to September, folks can join us for some kayaking down the Cannon River. You can experience beautiful fall color while adventuring around the backwoods by renting a fat tire bike for the day. Or you can join us for a moonlit snowshoeing experience with candle-lit trails leading to a roaring bonfire. We even have a Shoe & Brew option complete with a visit to a local brewery! However you like to adventure in the great outdoors, we have the means to get you there.
