St John's Boys Choir
Founded in 1981 by Br. Paul Richards and the Saint John's monastic community, the St. John's Boys Choir (SJBC) in Burtrum, Minnesota, fosters a supportive environment for boys to express themselves through music. Now in its 44th season, the organization features four choral ensembles that perform over fifty engagements annually, drawing members from more than fifteen communities across Central Minnesota.
The SJBC is committed to nurturing creativity and inclusivity, providing opportunities for boys to participate in various programs such as auditions, summer camps, and concerts. Supported by grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Central Minnesota Arts Board, the choir continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of corporate sponsors and individual donors.
