In 1976, HiMEC s Rochester, Minn., facilities were consolidated into the company s present location of 40,000 square feet of office and shop space. The company provides heating, ventilation and air conditioning; refrigeration; plumbing; fire sprinkler; 24-hour maintenance service; and custom specialty metal fabrication, including non-pressure rate vessels, conveyors, countertops and hoods. HiMEC was incorporated in 1975, when the Hiley family, the owners of Sanitary Company, purchased Utility Sales and Engineering. In addition to the Rochester facility, HiMEC s branch offices are located in Austin and Northfield, Minn.
