History

Smokey Hollow has been a fixture of the community since 1872. It remains a popular hub for the people of Fairfax to get together, as well as a great spot for travelers to stop and eat. Patrons love it for its friendly environment, great food and even better prices.

Throughout the hundred plus years we've been opened, Smokey Hollow has taken many forms: a bar, a restaurant, a diner. Currently it is run by the Gohnert family, long-time natives of the area. The small, family restaurant is a hit with the locals and an undiscovered gem for people traveling through. We open up early to serve traditional breakfast foods like eggs and bacon. Then we serve lunch and an early super. Everyone working at our location is either family or a friend, and we treat our customers with the same warmth as we would each other.
