Senior Community Services, also known as SCS, is a private, nonprofit, human service organization that offers a range of programs and services for senior citizens. Founded in 1950, it develops, coordinates and provides services that help meet the needs of individuals, as well as support their caregivers. The organization offers outreach, in-home counseling, case management and transportation services. Senior Community Services administers the Household and Outside Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) program, which includes housecleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, snow removal, lawn care, and interior and exterior painting services. The organization serves more than 20,000 senior citizens every year. It works in alliance with Eldercare Partners and the United Way.
