Shashank S. Dwivedi, MD

Christopher J. Traynor, MD, hails from Fargo, North Dakota. He completed his undergraduate education at St. John’s University followed by medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his Residency Training in Orthopedic Surgery at Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, MI. Following residency, he returned closer to his roots to complete his Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship at Twin Cities Orthopedics. There he received training focused on foot deformity and reconstruction, traumatic injuries of the foot and ankle, bunion surgery, sports injuries of the foot and ankle, and ankle arthritis and replacement. In addition to foot and ankle care, Dr. Traynor treats a wide variety of general orthopedics, including fractures, traumatic and sport injuries, and hip and knee replacements.

Ryan C. Nielsen, DO, MSc, is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained trauma surgeon. He received his medical degree from Des Moines University and completed an Orthopedic Surgery Residency in Detroit, Michigan. After residency, Dr. Nielsen went on to the Reno Orthopaedic Clinic to complete an Orthopaedic Traumatology Fellowship. His practice focuses predominantly on trauma surgery, as well as some general orthopedics and joint replacement surgery. His interest and specialty training in trauma includes the treatment of both adult and pediatric fractures, polytraumatic injuries, pelvis and acetabular fractures, periarticular fractures, malunion fractures, nonunion fractures, and surgical treatment of musculoskeletal infections.

Jeffrey A. Gilbertson, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic trauma surgery and an additional area of focus in adult reconstruction. His interests include surgical and non-surgical management of fractures and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries involving the upper and lower extremities, periprosthetic fractures (fractures around hip and knee replacements), as well as complex fractures involving the pelvis and acetabulum. In addition to managing acute injuries, he also has training in post-traumatic reconstruction, treatment of nonunions (bones that have failed to heal), malunions (bones that have healed in poor alignment), and osteomyelitis (infection of the bone). Dr. Gilbertson also has extensive experience in direct anterior total hip replacement, as well as primary and revision hip and knee replacement.
