Safe Kids Grand Forks
Safe Kids Grand Forks is a vital coalition dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries among children and young adults in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. A member of Safe Kids Worldwide, the organization brings together health experts, educators, and community volunteers to promote safety and reduce accidental injuries, which are the leading cause of death for children in the U.S.
Since its inception in 1988, Safe Kids Grand Forks has contributed to a significant decline in injury rates and was honored as the outstanding coalition of the year in 2013. Partnered with Altru Health System and various local organizations, the coalition implements educational programs aimed at keeping families safe at home, school, and in recreational activities.
