Redeemer Lutheran Church
Redeemer Lutheran Church, founded in 1883 by a group of German Lutherans, has a rich history in Owatonna, Minnesota. Originally named First St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, it has transitioned over the years, with its first house of worship built in 1894 and a later campus established in 1960.
In January 2019, Redeemer Lutheran Church merged with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, now operating as a unified congregation at 2500 7th Avenue NE. The merger continues to serve the spiritual needs of the community, with Pastor Harold Storm taking on the role of Associate Pastor for Spiritual Care at Good Shepherd.
