Prairies & Potholes Chapter of the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program

The Minnesota Master Naturalist Program is dedicated to promoting awareness, understanding, and stewardship of Minnesota's natural environment through the development of informed citizens committed to conservation education and community service. With various courses available, including Big Woods, Big Rivers, Northwoods, Great Lakes, and Prairies & Potholes, the program caters to those with a passion for nature and a desire to share their knowledge with others.

Participants, known as Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers, engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and wildflower identification, while contributing to local conservation efforts. To maintain their status, volunteers complete 40 hours of service and 8 hours of advanced training annually, fostering a community of motivated individuals who support ecological health in Minnesota.
