The Nyingmapa Taksham Buddhist Center, located in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, was established on April 24, 2016, as an educational and religious nonprofit dedicated to serving the Tibetan and American Buddhist communities. Under the guidance of Spiritual Director Taksham Tulku Rinpoche, the center aims to provide a cultural and spiritual resource while fostering understanding and connection between these communities.

Taksham Tulku Rinpoche, recognized as the first reincarnation tulku in Minnesota, is currently pursuing a traditional Tibetan Buddhist education alongside his studies in the local school system.
