I love the variety, there are small iris and Siberians, even historic and rebloomers. And of course the tall bearded! We go walk through the gardens several times when they are blooming!

The Northeast Minneapolis Municipal Iris Gardens (NEMMIG) is a public facility dedicated to the education, preservation, and research of the Iris genus. Established in 2017 at Columbia Park, the gardens focus on studying reblooming iris varieties suitable for Minnesota gardens while also collecting and showcasing historic and contemporary Minnesota Iris introductions.
With the support of the Iris Society of Minnesota, community volunteers, and generous sponsors, NEMMIG aims to beautify local public land and serve as a valuable resource for gardeners interested in the unique colors and characteristics of various iris species. Accessible year-round, the gardens emphasize sustainable horticultural practices suitable for the region's climate.
