Minnesota CIT Officers Association
The Minnesota Crisis Intervention Team (MN CIT) was established in 2005 by retired law enforcement officers Michael Peterson and Steve Wickelgren to improve first responders' understanding of mental health issues. Their mission focuses on educating and training first responders to enhance safety when dealing with individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Gennae Falconer, MN CIT offers a variety of training programs, including a 40-hour CIT certificate class and 8-hour mental health awareness sessions. Supported by a dedicated board of directors and a team of skilled facilitators, MN CIT strives to create a safer and more informed response to mental health emergencies.
