Davisco Foods International is a privately held, family-owned business that specializes in milk processing and whey fractions. The company provides whey and whey protein ingredients, which are used in the production of a wide range of nutraceuticals, infant formulas and food products. It produces 450,000-plus pounds of cheese per day and more than 9 million pounds of whey protein isolates annually. The company is a major supplier of cheese to such companies as Kraft Foods. It operates facilities in Lake Norden, S.D.; Jerome, Idaho; Nicollet, Minn; and Le Sueur, Minn. Le Sueur is also home to the company s headquarters and Le Sueur Food Ingredient Company.
