Lakeland Mental Health Center

The Mental Health Unit is a part of Douglas County Hospital located in Alexandria, Minn. It provides psychiatric and psychological services for children and adults. The unit also offers neuropsychological assessment, emergency consultation and crisis intervention services. The Mental Health Unit provides play therapy for children and outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. Its psychiatric services include evaluation and medication management. The unit also provides a family violence intervention program. It maintains a team of psychiatrists, clinical nurses, psychologists, social workers and neuropsychologists.
