History
Started from humble beginnings as a repair shop in the basement of Frank Kolter in the early 1940s, business began to boom and a new home for his business became necessary. After relocating down the street, sharing space with a green-grocer, he went to work building a solid reputation of reliable work. Once more, Frank's business outgrew its digs and required more room-- after taking over the building and unconverting it, he was left with what is known today as Kolter Bicycle & Fitness. Winona still comes to rely on Kolter's for reliable service and a quality product.
Specialties
Focused on bicycle sales (new & refurbished), repair, rentals and sale of accessories. We also sharpen ice skates and repair fitness equipment (we make house-calls!). Specializing in road, mountain, sport, cruisers, bmx, and bicyles for those with special needs.
