History

Andrea's tutoring career dates back to 1999. In addition to academic tutoring and test prep tutoring, Andrea is a former admissions interviewer for Yale College; she is skilled at helping college applicants prep for interviews and write stand-out admissions essays. Andrea graduated from Yale University as well as played NCAA Division I Basketball for Yale. Why choose me? Because I teach children holistically. What does this mean? Your child is a student, but they are also a person full of possibility and talent who needs to be treated as such. When I tutor your child, I get to know them as a person and connect with them. Every student is fascinating to me. also care--a lot--and I'm not saying other tutors don't, but at most major tutoring organizations tutors aren't trained and are usually just doing this as a part-time job. When teachers teach well, students enjoy it. If your student is not enjoying the help they are getting there's something wrong!

Subjects: History, English/Essay Writing, College Essays, Spanish, French Test Prep: SAT, PSAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, HSPT-I am a specialist in VERBAL tutoring. Almost all tutors are better at either math or verbal, but try to teach both. I only teach what I am 110% confident in, so that I give you excellent results. *Specialize in kids with ADHD
