Minneapolis, MN 55407

The Indigenous Food Lab, situated in Minneapolis, serves as a professional kitchen and training center dedicated to Indigenous food service, blending culinary tradition with business acumen. Founded by the Sioux Chef, Sean Sherman, the Lab focuses on Indigenous food identification, cultivation, and preparation while addressing economic and health crises in Native communities through sustainable food enterprises.

In addition to its kitchen operations, the Indigenous Food Lab Market offers a variety of high-quality Indigenous foods and products, empowering local entrepreneurs and promoting access to Native-made goods. This initiative aims to educate the community about Indigenous foodways and supports the reclamation of ancestral culinary practices as a vital part of cultural revival and health improvement.

Very unique experience! I got one of the lattes and it tasted very earthy and like cocoa nibs! The grain bowl was very wild tasting. Would definitely like to try it with bison next time!
