About CLC is appointed by the court to provide legal representation to children who are either wards of the state legal orphans or have been removed from their homes because they are in need of protection. CLC also represents foster children who request help. CLC provides this quality representation free of charge. Currently, CLC represents over 400 children. Since 1995, CLC, with the help of over 300 volunteer attorneys, has represented more than 1, 300 foster children. When children are taken from abusive or neglectful parents, they need to know their legal rights. CLC provides a multidisciplinary team of volunteer and staff attorneys and a social worker to listen to the children and help them navigate the complicated systems that control their lives. These advocates help guide the children by empowering them to speak up for what they want. CLC advocates help children understand the system and help judges and other court workers understand what the children want. CLC's staff attorneys and social worker provide expertise and years of experience to volunteer attorneys to support their efforts in representing foster children, including knowledge about specific laws and service available for the children. To promote the rights and interests of Minnesota's children, especially children of color and children with disabilities, in the judicial, child welfare, health care, and education systems.

Farmers' Legal Action Group (FLAG) is a nonprofit law center based in St. Paul, MN, dedicated to providing legal services and support to family farmers and their communities. With a focus on alternative energy issues, FLAG offers information and options to farmers when approached by utility companies or developers, helping them understand their rights and liabilities under agreements. Since its establishment in 1986, FLAG has served over 80,000 farmers, aiming to keep family farmers on the land through its legal expertise and advocacy. The Legal Rights Center ( LRC ) represents, without charge, low-income people and people of color who have legal problems associated with the juvenile justice, criminal justice, and child welfare systems. LRC attorneys, community workers, and mediators are committed to protecting their clients' constitutional rights while assisting with the personal and social issues that often lead to the need for legal services. By addressing the broader problems, LRC seeks to restore the alleged offender to meaningful community life and reduce the likelihood of re-involvement with the juvenile or criminal justice system or the child welfare system. LRC's success will result in an increase in the quality of justice for low-income people and people of color and a decrease in the social costs associated with criminal behavior. The geographical focus of LRC's work is Hennepin County. The Legal Rights Center is the first and only non-profit poverty criminal defense law firm in Hennepin County. We are one of four such public defense corporations in the State of Minnesota.
