Hennepin County Library-Nokomis is a community library located in the Nokomis neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Originally built in 1968 and renovated in 2011, the library is named after one of the fictional characters in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, The Song of Hiawatha, and reflects the legendary surroundings described in the poem.
Friends of Nokomis Library is a volunteer-run organization that supports the Nokomis Library and uplifts the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
