Welcome to Kid's Korner Educare Center, Inc. Kid's Korner Educare is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which has provided early childhood education and family services to the Owatonna community since 1991. We are licensed through the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services and Nationally Accredited by NAC. At Kid's Korner, we believe a strong family unit is the core to raising a successful child and we feel strong families contribute to the strength and vitality of our community. Additionally, one of the most important decisions a parent will be called upon to make in the early years of their child's life is the selection of a quality childcare provider. The individual(s) chosen to care for children will influence the child academically, emotionally, socially, and morally. Therefore, the care selected will ultimately affect the outcome of the child's entire life. Kid's Korner Educare's program and curriculum devotes the highest priority to create and enhance appropriate and empowering goals for individual growth and development of every child. We foster discovery and self-esteem, promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children in a creative and explorative manner, and plan and implement professional development of our staff. Kid's Korner Educare works closely with our Public and Private School Systems to help prepare the children for their academic years and continue to promote and foster cheerfulness, discovery, self-esteem, and reflect multi-cultural sensitivity. We attain this through group and individual play and activities, teacher and self-directed activities, and unique hands-on educational experiences for the children. We, the staff, invite you to try our alternative to the traditional method of day care/preschool. Established in 1969, The Children's Center provides a variety of child care services that includes individual development and educational programs. It serves more than 400 children throughout Minnesota. The center s educational curriculum includes reading, writing, health education, science, language arts, and art and craft. It additionally offers classes on topics related to dramatics, construction play, recording, table toys, numerical problems, nutrition, computer applications and literature. The center also provides language, speaking and cognitive development programs. In addition, it organizes various social and outdoor activities, such as puzzles and manipulative. The center conducts several parent-teacher conferences that serve as a resource for students, parents and staff members. The Children's Center provides breakfast and lunch programs for its children.

Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a wide range of programs and services to support individuals and families in Wells, MN and surrounding areas. Their offerings include Head Start programs for pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as employment training, energy assistance, housing support, transportation services, and financial resources. With a mission to empower and improve the lives of community members, MVAC strives to address the diverse needs of individuals and promote holistic well-being through their comprehensive approach.
