Started in 1962, Wakota Arena is South St. Paul s sports stadium and athletic field. Built as a one-ice sheet arena, the sports stadium has been serving the hockey community as the home of the Suburban Conference. It caters to the professional, Olympic and national south players of St. Paul High School Hockey as well as conducts the Great-8 Festival. Since its inception, Wakota Arena has hosted various events, such as concerts, dance programs, graduation ceremonies, circus troupes, home/garden shows and festivals. In 2003, the arena hosted the first ever Minnesota Governor s Inaugural Hockey Game. It also provides ice rentals for ice hockey and figure skating.

Good ice good service nice concession. What better place to play hockey than in one of Minnesota's oldest rinks

Came here for a roller derby tournament in July. It's usually an ice rink during the winter time and they de-iced it during the summer. There are two rinks, and the other one still had ice in...
