DeGrood's Appliance was established in 1952, beginning operations from a small storefront located at 115 South Front Street. In 1964, the business purchased a building at 1014 South Front Street and doubled the size of the store to 6, 400 sq. ft. Several years later the building was expanded to 8, 900 sq. ft.In 1995, the business was purchased by sons, Steve and Joe DeGrood. Over the next ten years, Steve, Joe and the DeGrood employees worked to significantly expand the scope of retail sales and services while maintaining a high standard of customer care through delivery, installation and ongoing service.In 2005, the business relocated and expanded to a 15, 000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art retail showroom located at the intersection of North Victory Drive and St. Andrews Drive. The investment in the facility represents their commitment to continuing of providing quality customer service of the sale of appliances and electronic goods to Southern Minnesota.
