Good Shepherd Lutheran Services, established in 1965, is a nonprofit organization serving more than 5,000 senior citizens and their families throughout Minnesota. It offers apartments and independent cottages with cable television, fully equipped kitchen and telephone connection. The services offered by the center include housekeeping and linen, dining, transportation, laundry, facility maintenance, emergency response system, medical care and nursing services. The various programs offered by the center include health insurance assistance; bill paying and companion services, shopping assistance, and chore services. It also offers in-house health care, medical assistance, social aids, care management and community-based services. The social and recreational activities offered by the center include board games, movie outings, drawing, painting, music and dance events, and outdoor picnics. Good Shepherd Lutheran Services is located in Rushford, Minn.
