Minnesota State University, founded in 1868 and located in Mankato, Minn., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs for students. The university has more than 14,000 students, including international students from more than 60 countries. It houses six academic colleges, including, allied health and nursing, arts and humanities, business, education, science, engineering and technology, and social and behavioral sciences. The colleges offer more than 150 undergraduate programs of study, including over 15 preprofessional programs and nearly 80 graduate programs. Minnesota State University is accredited by more than 20 national accrediting agencies, including the North Central Association of Colleges.
