Burntside Lodge, founded in 1913, is one of the oldest guest lodges in Ely, Minn. The summer resort offers cabins of various sizes, designs and locations ranging from one to three bedrooms, all with private baths. The lodge offers a full-service restaurant, a cappuccino bar with fresh baked pastries available daily, marina facilities for all the boating needs, two sand swim beaches, a Finnish sauna and other amenities for its guests. The restaurant has been a recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Burntside lodge offers its guests with various kinds of boats such as fishing boats, canoes, kayaks and pontoons. It is located along the shores of Burntside Lake that contains more than 10,000-acres of water and over 125 islands.
