The Community Services Department, governed by the City of Bloomington, Mich., fosters opportunities for residents to become independent and contributing members of the community. It operates communication, human service, parks and recreation and public health divisions. The department s recreational facilities include the Bloomington Center for the Art, Family Aquatic Center and Bush Lake Beach. The Community Services Department s divisions negotiate and monitor cable television franchise and improve the lives of residents by identifying needs and resources. In addition, it provides clinical, health care and emergency services. The department also has an ice garden that has three rinks and a seating capacity for more than 2,000 individuals. The Community Services Department is located in Bloomington, Minn.

Formed in 1929, Prior Lake Fire Department is a provider of emergency disaster management and planning, fire suppression, rescue, prevention, code enforcement and public education. The department has two stations, namely Fire Station No. 1 and Fire Station No. 2. Located in Prior Lake, Minn., it is one of the departments of the City of Prior Lake. The city also operates other departments, such as administration, building and transportation services, communications, finance, recreation, community development and natural resources, police and public works/engineering/maintenance.
