Over the past 30 years, Dr. Szalapski has always done whats best for the patient. He is focused on explaining the benefits and risks to each patient and enjoys educating them to avoid surgery which may be unnecessary or unsuccessful. He works directly with the patient to customize an approach that is best suited for the patient and specific to their individual goals. He studied at the University of Minnesota, graduating with Honors and continued his orthopedic training at Harvard University. Christopher J. Traynor, MD, hails from Fargo, North Dakota. He completed his undergraduate education at St. Johns University followed by medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his Residency Training in Orthopedic Surgery at Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, MI.Following residency, he returned closer to his roots to complete his Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship at Twin Cities Orthopedics. There he received training focused on foot deformity and reconstruction, traumatic injuries of the foot and ankle, bunion surgery, sports injuries of the foot and ankle, and ankle arthritis and replacement. In addition to foot and ankle care, Dr. Traynor treats a wide variety of general orthopedics, including fractures, traumatic and sport injuries, and hip and knee replacements.

Jonathan C. Reid, MD, is a sports medicine physician who grew up in southern Minnesota where he attended Northfield High School and later St. Olaf College, graduating magna cum laude with a baccalaureate degree in biology and political science. After graduating from St. Olaf College, he accepted a joint internship position at the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC working on global health policy and security. Dr. Reid subsequently attended medical school at the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a dual degree in bioethics. Dr. Reid completed his residency in emergency medicine and went on to train at Loyola University in the area of clinical musculoskeletal medicine, earning a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. He is committed to caring for patients of all ages as they experience musculoskeletal injury and disease as well as working in the area of preventative medicine toward keeping his patients healthy and active throughout life. Dr. Reid developed a research collaborative with the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago during training and continues to have a research focus on pediatric musculoskeletal health. Clinical areas of focus include pediatric and adolescent sport medicine, musculoskeletal procedures with the use of ultrasound guidance, and nonoperative fracture and regenerative medicine.
