Bituminous Materials is a family-owned company originally founded in 1963. We provide hot-mix asphalt paving, seal coating, and trucking services to Southern Minnesota and metro area regions. Our office and plant facility are located in Faribault, just 45 minutes south of Minneapolis and St. Paul on Interstate 35. Our AWAIR program policies and goals are reviewed and updated annually. Internal safety audits are conducted regularly by the company safety director. All BMI employees receive safety training as part of their annual orientation. In addition, our employees have completed OSHA 10 training, are certified in first aid and CPR, attend annual MSHA refresher training, and take part in weekly safety meetings scheduled by supervisors and arranged by our safety director.
