I have been a certified nurse practitioner since 2007. Working in healthcare has been my calling since high school. I discovered my true passion in 2012 when at the age of 28 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. This spurred my love for nutrition, clean living, wellness, and functional medicine. I have struggled with my own health issues since my cancer treatment (gut problems, thyroid issues, adrenal and hormone problems), and because of functional medicine, my health and quality of life have drastically improved. I have since pursued a post-master's certificate in holistic health studies and have met all the criteria for becoming a certified functional medicine provider.
