Association-The Free Lutheran Congregation
The Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC) is a fellowship of independent Lutheran congregations that collaborate to achieve service goals within the Kingdom of God. Founded in 1962 by a group of 40-50 congregations from the former Lutheran Free Church, the AFLC has grown to encompass over 250 member congregations across the United States.
The mission of the AFLC is rooted in the belief that its members can accomplish more together than they could alone, fostering a sense of interdependence among congregations. Central to their faith is the conviction expressed in Galatians 2:20, emphasizing a life lived through faith in Christ.
