Sam W. Carlson, MD, is a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement surgeon who specializes in direct anterior total hip replacement and complex hip and knee revision surgery. Dr. Carlson completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he had the privilege of working alongside world-renowned hip and knee arthroplasty leaders. He then completed a year of subspecialty training at Indiana University. In Indiana, he developed an expertise in rapid recovery protocols that facilitate outpatient hip and knee replacement while simultaneously expanding his training in revision surgery.

Eric C. Busse, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with expertise in primary and revision joint replacement. His surgical interests include complex primary hip and knee replacement, partial and total knee replacement, and minimally invasive surgical techniques including direct anterior total hip arthroplasty. He is also interested in trauma care and surgical management of a variety of fractures in both lower and upper extremities.

Gregory L. Scallon, MD, was raised in central Iowa and trained throughout the Midwest. His undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University set him on the path toward orthopedic surgery. Dr. Scallon completed medical training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, residency at the University of Minnesota, and his Foot and Ankle Fellowship in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He and his wife, who is also an orthopedic surgeon, have two young boys. Dr. Scallon enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, biking, playing instruments, and woodworking.Dr. Scallon's primary clinical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity disorders. This includes malalignment, sports injuries, trauma, and fractures. This requires a personal connection between Dr. Scallon and his patients to understand their goals and find the best solution.
