Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) is a global fellowship dedicated to helping individuals struggling with alcohol use through a supportive community where personal experiences are shared among members. With a rich history spanning over 80 years, A.A. operates on a simple yet effective program centered around one alcoholic helping another on the journey to recovery.

The organization offers various resources, including self-assessments, literature on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, and opportunities for individuals to participate in A.A. groups. A.A. welcomes everyone with a desire to stop drinking, regardless of their background, and emphasizes the importance of anonymity and mutual support in the recovery process.

These were followed shortly by the opening of The Haven in Waconia, as well as The Haven in Cloquet.
