About Mid-America Claims, Inc Mid-America Claims Inc is a full service, independent adjusting company serving quality Property & Casualty insurance companies nationwide. We were formed in late 2002 when our predecessors, Bob Babcock and Tom Figura ( Babcock & Figura, Inc ) decided to retire. They were months short of their 25th anniversary when they decided to "call it quits." Today we are staffed with former employees of Babcock & Figura. We have roughly 60 years of adjusting experience combined ; most in our current territory. We take pride in the fact that we know our area, and the companies and individuals who do business here. We are in Best's Recommended, are members of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, and we carry full Errors and Omissions insurance with Certificate of Insurance upon request. We do maintain a professional office on the east side of Valparaiso, IN. We handle the full array of residential and commercial property losses ; including personal and commercial auto, Inland Marine, and all General Liability investigations. Appraiser and Umpire appointments are accepted, as well as limited assignments and "appraisals only." Our goal is to continue to provide fair, professional and efficient service to our colleagues in the insurance industry, as well as their policyholders.
