Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative

Wolverine Power Cooperative supplies wholesale electric power to five member cooperatives including Cherryland Electric Cooperative in Grawn, Mich.; Great Lakes Energy in Boyne City, Mich.; HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Portland, Mich.; Preque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op in Onaway, Mich.; and Wolverine Power Marketing Cooperative in Cadillace, Mich. The company is a nonprofit, member-owned generation and transmission electric cooperative that is based in Cadillac. Its five electric generating facilities are capable of producing nearly 200 megawatts of internal generation, primary peaking capacity. Wolverine maintains more than 125 distribution substations and nearly 40 transmission substations. The company serves member-cooperatives with more than 1,600 miles of bulk transmission lines. Wolverine Power Cooperative is a privately owned company that employs nearly 50 people.
